I have always been drawn to the desert and the American southwest in general since my first trip there many years ago. The expansive horizon and domination of the open sky instills a sense of scale while also inviting adventure and wonder. These photos were taken in 2015 and 2016 in Red Rock Park, the Clark County Wetlands Reserve, and around Mt. Charleston to the northwest of Las Vegas.
